If you made it out the last race - things will be mostly the same but slightly different:
First - thank you to everyone who has filled out a survey. We've gotten some really great responses, a lot of positive feedback and few really good suggestions. We'll be doing what we can to take all that feedback into consideration as we plan this next event. And- Because this is part of the UMC weekend - all spectators must sign check and pay an entrance fee at the main badlands entrance. Shuttles will be available to get you to the race site. Yes - this kind of sucks if all you want to do is come check out the race - however it does get you access to all the other racing going on that day - including the monster trucks and concert later in the afternoon. And save the date's for the next races! - August 3 and September 14 More updates to come |

How will it work if we're bringing a passenger? I assume they pay the spectator fee but just ride along with us? Can I call them my pit crew or navigator?

Fun fact: if your not good at rallycross it's ok. They are staying at a Holliday Inn Express, so you'll feel like an expert.

If they have a helmet and sign the waver they can ride with you. (One extra person per run) or sit in your pits or whatever they wish.

Right, but it sounds like competitors go straight to the event and spectators need to go to the main gate and get a ride on a shuttle in to the race. I was just asking for clarification since they would be neither a competitor or "just a spectator". Probably over thinking it as usual, but it sounds like I have to drop them off somewhere and then meet up with them later from what's posted? Should they still get their ticket from the badlands site?

From what I understand it's not going to be on the same course as before?
If not, can you provide some info on the length, surface, etc |

So as a driver, do I show up to the exact same location as last time, or what is the new address that I have to go to and at what time?

This is the same location as the May 18th race - If you are competing you can show up directly at the race site off of Brier Road.
The course will be very similar to the last event - we're made a few minor changes based on some some lessons learned from last time but expect something generally similar to the last race. |

Awesome. That's where I hoped I would be driving to.
By the sounds of that I'm guessing the lower section will be "faster" |

safe bet - although we still want to have some technical sections - but they'll get added up on the harder ground on the top field. Going to *try* and use more of the field overall and add some length.
Will also make the course setup so that if the transitions get too rough we can cut them out easily and still run a shorter version of the course on just the top field. Should be a really good event. |

another bump!
hoping for a good turnout! New timing setup is about ready to go - and the new track layout is finalized! going to be fun and give us a few more options and little more flexibility.... It's going to be fast. |

Here is the new baseline track map. We're going to keep a lot of the old track, but making a few changes to give us more flexibility and hopefully improve the overall experience. The track is about 2 miles long , and if the transition areas or lower field get too rough, we should be able to adapt the track to just run on the top field very easily.
of course this is subject to ground conditions and may change the day of - but gives you an idea of what we're aiming for at least |

Looks great. Coming out of the woods passing old finish and instead just blasting downhill into the old first corner sideways is going to be amazing!
Lets just hope for no mud |

we were planning on capping it at 60 entries - but I think we'll come in under that... I'm guessing around 50, similar to the last race.
We're all leaving for the site first thing tomorrow morning - internet service is spotty at best so there may not be any updates until late Friday night. Hope to see everyone out there! |
