PWN3D Let a "friend" borrow my 2.5RS, and he crashed it into my wife's Exploder. :-(

First, let me say, yes, my wife drives a 1991 Ford Exploder, I'm sorry, but she loves that thing no matter how against it I am. With that being said:

I let an old friend borrow my RS today because his car had some work done and he needed a car. The reason I let him borrow my RS is because he let me borrow his beater a long while back for a couple days for the same reason, so I was returning the favor, only I was letting him drive my baby only because I trusted him as he is a fairly skilled track driver, and such...

So here's the great part; His friend drops him off this morning at my house, and since my wife gets up before me to get to work an hour earlier than me (7am Vs 8am for me), she lets him in and gives him the key to the car and gives him instructions and such... she bids him a fond farewell and he's on his way.

Not two mins later a knock sounds on my front door (I'm still sleeping). My "friend" was leaving my house when he realized that he left HIS keys in my house moments before he departed, so as he is pulling back into the drive way, he HITS the corner of my wife's rear bumper (metal) and scrapes it all along side my RS's passenger side, front fender to rear tail. !!!!

This is the best part, he's all pissed off about it, can't believe he did it, tells my wife, who then tells me (wakes me up). So I get upset and go downstairs to see what happened only to be met by my "friend" who is uber pissed off and starts yelling at me for being mad at him... I wasn't even mad or yelling or anything, I had just woken up to that, and was a bit groggy, yes, but did I yell? No... Maybe little ("What the F!").

Anyway, he calls his friend to pick him back up, leaves my RS, and now he's not talking to me and my RS is f'ed up.

god, you have no idea how badly I wanted to punch him in the throat. I havn't been this angry in some time... I'm better now that I'm at work and all is said and done, but damn, when it happened, I wanted to snap necks.

I don't know what I'm going to do... I suspect that he'll try to call and apologize and pay for the damages, don't know what I'll do if he doesn't... but I'll get even, it's the brucelee way.

Cliff: Friend borrows my beloved old RS that I've had for 8 years, drives it for 1 min, and wrecks it into my wifes parked car then gets mad at me for getting mad.

Also, the damage isn't as bad as it sounds/looks, I think it can be buffed out for the most part, but there is sheet metal and paint damage along the whole side, luckily it isn't SUPER deep, but me thinks I need to replace the door/rear quarter panel (coupe FTL) to make it look new again... Ugggggggggggg

****ing Tuesdays!

Exactly how fond was her farewell? I mean, maybe it didn't go exactly as they told you.

The best part is, the exploder barely has a scratch! Just the very corner of its bumper.

He's a track driver but can't judge the distance of an Explorer's bumper to the car he was driving?

You don't run the track in Reverse often.

A seasoned member like Brucelee should know why this thread should not exist. It is missing a critical element.

I'll get pics tonight... I don't even know what to make of it.

I'm at work right now, I was too enraged to think of taking pics and uploading them.

Bad rule. Friends, real friends, are more valuable than any automobile.
