Default 07 STI tuned with Open Source!

Just finished up tuning an 07 STI Limited. The results are pretty good. I think that I could have seen a little more torque if I would have had more time on the dyno.

The only parts installed on the car are a drop-in filter, Maddad V2 turboback and tuning. The ecu was tuned using all Open Source products. This make us the first to tune the stock ecu on an 07 using Open Source products. Thanks to all the people at Enginuity,Ecuedit and Ecuflash.

The car based at 240whp and 240wtq.
The final numbers are 300whp and 306wtq.
This was at 18psi tapering to 15psi.

we have been doing lots of evo's lately with ecuflash, etc..

such a nice thing... just lacks realtime, would be a real pain with larger maf's etc....

the evo ix's are super responsive to it...

Excellent work and thank you for all your help in our recent PMs back and forth to each other on my issues with ECUFlash.

Just make sure your using the 1.2 DBW cable and not the 1.3m which is supposedly compatible with the Subaru vehicles in their compatability chart but it appears this is NOT the case for me.

Would this be the same cable you would use on a EVO 9?

As I have told Markeddy, I only use the 1.2 cable for Subaru's and 1.3 for Evo's.

Heck yeah it is! And think that the customer didn't even have to spend money for tuning products (UTEC, AccessPort, UNIChip)!!

Makes me want to go pick up an STI today!

ridiculous. 300whp on an 07 stage 2 STI. that's like 30 horsepower more than an 04-06 cobb stage 2. well done

Evryone is making more power on the 07's (its not the software you use). Different head, slightly different turbo, much more resolution in the ECU tables to work with. All that added together makes up a huge difference.

Since we tune on a Dynapack, and we know how the packs can show every little flaw in the tune, I can tell you that graph looks awesome. Very, VERY well done.

ITP, would you mind explaining on this thread also how you were able to read, edit, and reflash the image onto the 07 ECU?

I know that previous attempts to work on the 07 ECU with Enginuity resulted in some sad results - images not being able to be reloaded, new ECU's from Subaru, etc etc.

Thanks.

The issue you are talking about is when someone attempted to flash an 06 sti rom onto an 07 sti which is definitely not recommended. Does not have anything to do with Enginuity, which is just a rom editor.
