I'm trying to figure out how to tackle doing the blower, charge piping and awic next. I spend a lot more time on that car then I do my own especially when it comes to custom modifications. Everything is one off custom made. even our injectors are billet adonized and polished
Did you by any chance measure your intake temps before and after? I'm wondering if this has been proven effective?

Default Shift Knob.

You should have put that on the hand brake! It looks so nice though. Cool idea!

I've found two bolts on the mid section of the radiator support. If I twist the mounting flat bar for the hella horns, I can get them to stay within the bumper cover but angled upwards such that the sound projects to the outside, instead of inside.

I'm a big fan of those lower grill meshes, but to be honest, it's REALLY easy to work on the stuff between the bumper and the radiator when I can access them from that gap. Hell, back when I only had hella horns, I installed them without ever taking off the bumper/grill thanks to that.
I'd almost suggest pointing them downward so maybe they would reflect the sound upward off the ground. You know, since they are "directional" and all. Blast pattern on everything in front is a direction, kind of..... Pretty ingenious/lazy installing them through the hole. Only takes a few minutes to get the bumper cover off though, lol. Then again, I'm biased, I can't fit my baboon arms in there with the cover on anyways. I second installing them in the foglight spots, just put mesh in front of them. Dude on IWSTI has a crazy build that he used some chopped-up and fiber-glassed flower pots as a part of his covers. Here's the post: LINK.

Like that sort of, just with mesh in the front end, maybe a few layers to prevent too much crap from getting in.

Are you the one who posted up a pic of the bumper with "stitches"? 'Cause that looked freakin' badass.

I have the OEM fogs in right now, so maybe I'll sell them and put the hellas there. Then again, it'd be almost the same as having them in the lower grill area in terms of problems during the winter. By the way, does anyone have a good way of removing the brackets that comes with the hellas? I run a 300 PFT and I'm having problems getting it off....

As for removing the bumper, I'll get around to it eventually. Was in a hit and run about 3 weeks after I took delivery...some prick hit my car in the parking lot and didn't leave a note. There's a 12"x1/8" streak of paint missing from my front bumper...

A bit off topic, I was trying to record a video of my '11 WRX's clicking clutch problem, and in the middle of it it developed into the "broken firewall weld" squeak problem. Daggon 3G WRX...

Wouldn't be surprised if it was mine, lol. That was a long while ago then, since I got the metal bumper made 3 or 4 months ago.

Could always mount the lights down there, but that would remove some of the uniqueness. It'd still be cool though, just like most of that dudes build. Bunch of nifty but inexpensive mods. I took the brackets off my hellas using a concrete step to hold them in place (horn off the edge of the step) stand on the bracket and break that bitch free.

Sucks about the bumper, at least my destruction waited till almost a year into ownership..... Lead to some good times, and some great learning experiences though.

This one?

Suspension: Feal revalved/inserts (gravel spec) front struts and Feal rear struts (gravel spec also) on ~1.5" lift King springs and 1" strut top spacers (Subtle Solutions lift kit). Wheels are Braid Winrace TA's in 15x6.5+45 dual drilled for 5x100 & 5x114.3 with steel inserts riding on 215/70R-15 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S. Enjoy.

That's the one! And thanks, my goal for 2013 is to have that suspension setup when I hit the backroads in Maine.

I'd probably skip the 1" spacers if you enjoy sticking to the road though, mine slips around turns pretty bad now. Then again it's probably a combo of large floppy tires, higher COG, my endlinks being essentially ****ed, and just generally needing to go through my entire setup and do adjustments on stuff. it was pretty stiff and tight at first though..... Oh, and no problem, glad to help.

for those of you that remember, i purchased a set of LED lights and the seller sent me some blue ones. today a correct set arrived that are actually white.

the bonus on these is that the lens comes off with 2 screws from the front, thus when winter comes i will be able to pull the front off, wrap the lens with tinted yellow vinyl and easily but them back on.

Well of course you fail to see it.

self-important = a person who overestimates their own importance and exhibits arrogant or pompous behavior

You're just one more schmuck on this forum, but through your posts it's clear that you have appointed yourself arbiter of what is "unique" and therefore what is worthy of being posted in this thread. You also appear to believe that you have the power to compel others to leave this thread or stop posting on it. Wrong on both counts.

Dale, you've been added to the ignore list, since you are obviously a pompous turd who can't get the hint. Good luck, hope you figure out how to grow up and add to the discussion.

Yeah, good job, tool. Look at the difference between my post history and yours. One has mostly useful comments and questions to clarify things (mine) the other (yours) has stupid, snarky comments. Blow-hard.

Big difference between the 2, but if you don't mind having square or rectangular lights, check out Rigid Industries LED lights. Great quality and output. If you look at my pic I posted earlier you should be able to see the square D series lights, same size as the D2s they now have. Also they have some the same width but with a single row of LEDs, something like 1.5x3", IIRC.

Lol, I understand there is a big difference, so I need to decide what I will need them for in the first place. But regardless I would like to eventually work on something along those lines.
I'll have to look into those LED's. loving the ideas though.

I though I'd try my hands at making halos for my headlights to accent the red eyes. plus it was a cheaper option then buying the kit from the online stores. Here are a few pics of the progress.

materials:

LED's = 4$
Resistors = 2$
Blind adjuster rods = 4$
Heat wrap = 6$
Lead free solder 5$

Total Cost: 21$

Tools:

drelmel
oven
tape
wire pliers
screwdriver
socket wrench
gorilla glue

spent all night but I think it paid off. I will get better pics of them when it gets darker.

That's pretty slick. So you just heated up the blind adjuster rods so you could bend them into a circular shape, then stuck LEDs into either end?
