DCCD and NON DCCD, How to recognise?
How can I recognise a DCCD and a Non DCCD 6 SPEED gbox by looking at it??

Well, my dccd 06 sti tranny had 2 wires coming from the passenger side rear of the trans. kind of on the side. the wires have some sort of epoxy holding them into a sensor that i dont believe can be removed. good luck!

You can always look at the code on teh driverside of the tranny....TYxxxxxxxxx

well, pretty much any usdm STi 6MT is going to be DCCD...

The reason I'm asking is because I was ooffered a 6speed Gearbox, at good price, the code on the gearbox is TY856WN3CA, which according to the Rallispec list gearboxes with TY856WN*** have no DCCD. However the seller insists that this tranny has DCCD, that's why I asked how to regognise by looking at it.

I guess he could have theoretically upgraded the center diff
