I don't know how bad it is, but it is stupid. I can appreciate a good sounding car when its moving on the road.

Considering we are driving economy level cars, they are surprisingly really steady in high wind. I remember the Civic used to be all over the road and you could feel the body being pushed back and forth by the wind...

Hats off to you, stock suspension

What do you guys say about shaving rotors? I got my pads in the mail and am not too sure how I feel about shaving rotors. If I do, might as well have them do the pads as well.

Well, from I know from having gone through bmw service..

They only resurface the rotor is its needed. i.e. bulges on the disc itself. If it looks ok and it is thick enough they leave it alone.

They only replaced the rotors this last time because they were worn down quite a bit.

I think I need to start sucking it up and taking the drive up north for you guy's to do my suspension tweaking. I let the local shop that does performance stuff do it and they ****ed my car up. I think they raised my front up and changed my preloads so my springs are binding again. So annoyed right now.

They did a harmonic balancing of my wheels, alignment, and swapped my front sway bar for free because their tech forgot to lock my coilover collar so my car was able to freely height adjust. They are nice but I'm done letting them touch my car. AZP for me in the next few weeks.

Nothing wrong with resurfacing rotors. As long as you do not do it too many times or the shop does not mill down too much, the rotor will be fine. Some shops have a on the car brake lathe so you do not need to take the rotor off.

Would it be bad if I didn't resurface? It's not like my rotors are crazy warped or anything, I'm just unsure whether it's necessary or not.

its generally good practice to do but to be honest, I've ran new pads without resurfacing. If the rotor is in good condition, no serious scoring, vibration under braking, thickness is good... i dont see any real issue running them with new pads.
