Oil Pan Change
I have a 2013 Impreza Sport Premium with CVT. Ran over something in the road and it put a good size dent in the oil pan by the drain plug. I need to change the pan. Has anyone done one of these? Any idea what the flat rate would be at a dealer to change it? You can get the pan on-line for about $85 and will do it myself if it doesn't take to long. According to the service manual you have to remove the "front under cover", the front exhaust pipe and then the pan. It doesn't mention anything about having to lift the engine. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!

I've gone as far as removing the lower cover and exhaust, which was simple.
I would believe the service manual. Don't use sealer excessively, and let it fully cure before filling the crankcase. I believe the right stuff is Permatex Ultra Grey. Take some pictures. |
