Which has less fender rubbing???
A 17x8 +35 wheel or 17x9 +43 wheel (both on a 235 40 tire)??? Which one would stick out the furthest, I'm bad with the mm to inches converson??? Because I'm running a 17x8 +35 right now, and was thinking about going to a wider 17x9 +43. Just wanted to see if it would stick out the fender well more??? thanks

The center of the tire on the 17x9s will be 8mm closer to your strut, but the outside of the wheel will be about 4mm farther out. The 17x9s would probably give you a bit more fender/tire clearance, but 235 is a strrrrrretch on a 9" wheel.
Raise your ride height a bit if you are worried about rubbing and run 255s. |
