Where are you in NC. Would local pickup be possible. I was also wondering on price of a VIS oem style carbon fiber hood. (I saw that you had them on your website). I was thinking that I could maybe get both items I want from one person and save on some shipping. Either way I am in on the D2's and will sumit payment once I get a response on the hood and if pickup is an option.

The extra springs are $35/each. Life of the strut really depends on driving conditions and amount of usage.

If you want a softer ride for harsh road conditions I can drop the rating by 1-2K.

We are located in Durham. I don't have the VIS hood for your car in stock but I can order it. Let me know if you are interested and I'll check on price and availability on Monday. You would save about $30 shipping on the coilovers however I would have to charge you sales tax if you pickup.

Maybe since we'd be some of the first people in US with these, D2 could lower the price some?

Well forget pickup sales tax would be more than the shipping . Oh and yes check on the price and availability for me if you would on the hood. What is the recommended spring rate for an 01rs?

BEN...this is not the forums where dreams come true :Þ

I just know some people are skeptical. Thought maybe if the price was a little lower more people would say the hell, and join in.

no answer to my pm?

will prices drop more if theres more people(say 12 or 15) in on the buy? it seems theres a lot of interest in these on different forums but most are a bit skeptical.

why such a big difference between available spring rates? id like something a little closer matched than say 279lbs/in(5kg), 391lbs/in(7kg).

Ben- I'm not trying to retire off the profit from this GB but I don't go through the trouble of importing these to not make money off it.

mr. m- Your PM has been replied to, sorry for the delay. If we get over 10 people I will drop the price by $25.
D2 has multiple strut valvings available which allows you to choose any spring rate you would like.

Sign me up! How do I make the pre-buy payment, and spec out my springs. Also, with the spring customization, are you sizing the valving accordingly? If not, what does D2 recommend for spring rates with the included damper valving?

You said you were using 9K's all around, and that was perfect. Where/what type of driving are you using the car for? What type of cornering speeds? I'm setting up my `04 sedan for trackdays and daily driving.

Please give me a call at 919-383-4605 to put in an order, ask for Michael. D2 has a few different valvings available according to spring rate.

would also like to know this.

just to be clear, you yourself will be handling the warranty? also, i reread the thread and was wondering if spring rates are available from 3.5-21 in whole numbers(3, 5, 7) or any odd number in that range(3.5, 3.7, 13.9)?

We are the US importer and will be handling the warranty. The springs are available in odd whole #s and a few even #s.

i think were all a little hesitant to spend 950 on coilovers from an unknown company. i searched the internet and couldnt really come up with much except that a 240 club tried to get a gb together with an unbelievable price but it apparently fell through.

There's a toyota group buy going on, D2 is making their coilovers right now, so they're still waiting for theirs. Looks like they're starting to come out with coilovers for Honda too or something.. I just need to get 950 bucks together, shouldn't be a problem.

We have had nothing but positive reviews from customers with all different makes of cars. While D2 is fairly unknown in the US since we just started importing it they have been around for about 8 yrs now in Asia, UK and Australia.

Hey Mike!

A couple of things that you could post that might help encourage people...

List of available spring rates (with English equivalence), are the ride height and spring perch adjustments seperate, suggested rebuild interval, warranty length, are spanner wrenches included.....

For anybody trying to spec out their springs (this is a long shot). I have a friend with an S4 running Stasis coilovers with 700lb front/800lb rear springs. The rear bias (for the heavier car) helps the rear end to rotate. The car is stiff, but rides well, and handles great on the track. He doesn't have solid spring perches however.

scoobies prefer an even front to rear spring rate bias.

I'm quite interested, especially in custom valving.
