Plastidip smoke sucks. Don't get it. I bought a couple cans to test them. It isn't really a smoke, it makes it look more like frosted glass. Completely diffuses the light underneath and just makes it look ugly.
You'd be better off buying some tint film for the tails. Still removeable if need be.

I agree, the smoke looks like grey spray paint. I would go with tint film or 2 coats of vht nightshades. vht doesnt black out until upwards of 4 coats.

I can take pics of my tails when I get home from work today! I have 2 light coats so the tails just look like a cherry red.

Anybody ever use plastidip to paint over some curb rash on black wheels? I have just enough on my wheels to bug the hell out of me and was wondering if it would be a viable option on a flat black rim? I'm thinking of having them powder coated anyway but I figured maybe for a temp solution?

Maybe if you do all the rims so they match.... Don't think it's gonna work just for a touch up it has a weird texture

Wasn't aware of the texture. Good to know. I wouldn't redo all of my wheels.. I really just want the curb rash gone lol it's either get them powder coated or have them sent off to enkei to get them redone.

Well on my friends car, I asked her and she just wanted black lids so I did those for her in that color. It matched her headllights more because I got her quad projector headlights for her bday. Those onlly have the lense over the turn signal :P
