Default TWR ss brake lines from TOTAL/STi ss clutch line from boomplus

i bought the last STi clutch line from boomplus on saturday, then hightailed it to total in n.van to ask cody to do the install with the TWR brake lines they have in stock... a day he now wishes never happened (heh)

the brake lines make a huge difference! it really is worth it. everyone should do it, even if u are stock. i always thought subaru brakes felt numb. i remember reading elsewhere on this board that it has something to do with the design of the brake booster and there wasn't much u could do about it. but now there is much more feel thru the pedal, and it dosen't require as much effort for hard stops. unfortunately it does not come with hardware similar to the stock brackets to mount it to the suspension... i don't know why. cody has a solution for that though. highly recommended.

as for the clutch line... i don't know. now i know why it costs so much to do the install, because the intercooler has to come out, and bleeding it is a freaking nightmare! i think the actual install time was 10-20 minutes, and the rest was bleeding . i wasn't sure what to expect out of this and i need to drive on it more but the clutch pedal requires less effort now. i *think* i can feel an actual transistion point thru the pedal, rather than relying on the tach or engine sound. still debating this one.

now if the only have those PDE uppipe/downpipes in stock...

The brakes do feel better when I got the Goodridge SS lines installed, well worth it!

What are the differences between the TWR and Goodridge SS lines? Does TWR have an application for the GC 2.5RS?

Default Uppipe?

"now if the only have those PDE uppipe/downpipes in stock..."

Hey Ben,
Do they sell the PDE upipe locally?
And if so, did you mean Boomplus or Total?
and do they have the flex one?

We (Total) sell PDE up-pipes and down pipes. We also carry or can get in the flex pipes. PM me for pricing or check our webpage (www.totalautosport.com).

TWR lines are $110 (cheaper than goodridge), they are teflon coated SS lines with rubber fittings at either end near the joints and have a clear plastic coating to protect the SS lines from salt and road grime.

I was wonder the same. I asked kenny at TOTAL a couple of months ago, and I guess we both forgot about it. I'll bug him again next week or so
