Default Vinyl Wrap Question..

Stick with me on this one, and I have my flame suit on.

Just want to confirm that vinyl wrap will stick and adhere to window glass? I just ordered a white sti and want to go with a white and matte black theme..I have a sunroof and I don't like the look of a glossy sunroof in the middle of a mattle black roof. So I was considering just covering the window in the matte as well.

Now obviously this would block out the sunlight, but I usually closed the shade in my GTI anyways and only opened it when I would actually pop the sunroof. So it would still be functional..just..permanently dark inside?

Light will still pass through.

Yes, vinyl will stick to the glass.

How is light going to pass through the vinyl?

Kind of makes sense. Not sure the vinyl is thick enough to block out all sunlight..but I could be wrong, I've never held a sticker up to the sun to try.

It will definitely stick to the glass no problem. You may or may not get light through the glass but who cares? As long as you achieve the exterior look you're going for with the finish.

Yeah exactly. Like I said I usually kept the shade shut when the window wasn't open anyhow so as long as it looks clean outside! Thanks for the info guys.

if you wanted to see through it. you could have ended up going with a matte clear film. should give it a nice matte look. just wanted to let other people know that there's another option

As solid as it may seem the vinyl is still pour-us with channeling etc to aid in adhesion and decrease bubbles etc. It will stick but like said above u will still get light that will transfer through the vinyl.
