Default VIC Mountain Bike Thread

With all the mountain bike pics on the other thread, I thought I'd start a new one for pedal bikes.

Here's a few favourite pics from Whistler last year

Anyone interested in a group ride? Whistler perhaps?

Whistler opens tomorrow, but I'd be up for a ride as early as next weekend.

I'd be up for a ride at Whistler sometime. Haven't ridden since last fall so will be a little slow

I would be up for a group ride at whistler any day. Cruise with the subies and mountian bike, sounds like a pretty damn good idea to me.
Lets figure out a time to go ASAP.

What kind of bikes is everyone riding??

I made a thread on this before, its been a while tho so maybe some people have some new bikes. I don't though. Its not a DH or free ride bike either, nice XC bike.

Edit: The link might help.

Complete with that bit where he looses control and crashes into the tree!!

I'm trying to coordinate all my bike armour into the storm trooper look. White armour is in fashion this year (if you believe what all the kids are saying ).

Whistler group drive/ride/meet? I would be down for that! But not in the next 2 weeks...

Mattmac, I have a Giant DH Team. It's a race bike, and it's new to me, so I'm still figuring out how to get more speed out of it. As for riding, I'm proably an "advanced" rider, but not quite an "expert"... I can hit the black runs pretty good, but some double blacks give me pause. I mostly ride the groomers though when I'm in Whistler...

Here are some pics of me from 1-2 years ago. I'm down for whistler! This May 17th? Or next weekend? I can bring like 5 friends too.

Don't mind this picture. I was dumb and didn't wear a helmet haha

Wow, looks like I'd be the slowest rider out there. That's alright, everyone can laugh at me while I tumble down the hill. It will take a couple weeks for me to recover from the massive sunburn I got yesterday but anytime after that I'd probably be up for a ride. Actually, I need to fit in one more day of boarding before Blackomb closes and the bike comes out.

I would be up for a ride not itll June 15th or so when I'm settled into the new place!

Alcoolaid I swear I bumped into you at those jumps before on I think Oak and 33rd they were smoking good 2-3 years ago but weren't to good for a while....

Ya my buddy has crazy manual skills..... he manuals from the upper parking lot at Seymour to CBC enterance and I swear one time when he dropped down the front tire it smoked and left a foot patch on the pavement, I guess you could say he was going really quick by then.

Only photo I think I have of biking is this on getting towed in and having my buddies shot at me with paint ball guns... real fun for them...haha

haha i have some old videos. if you don't get your feet back on before the landing, basically you have to bail or have a nice bag of ice ready for your balls. no footers are pretty basic once you start doing them. i can do 3 stars and nothings pretty good now. cancans and super mans are next if i dare....
