so i backed up into a poll and now my bumper has some cracked and peeling clear coat. does anybody know if it has to get repainted or just re cleared

well i did end up stretching the paint a little but i did a temporary fix which doesn't look to bad basically just chipped off all the loose clear coat and sprayed clear coat over damaged area sanded it down and buffed it out.

ill try and take some pictures tommorow

yeah it's pretty hard to know without pics, but I would probably say you will still need to get it painted. I would imagen it will eventually start chipping.

Bumpers are typically painted with a flexible paint designed to NOT crack when the bumper taps something. If the paint is cracked, it needs to be re-done. Also, I would check on the bumper support and make sure there's no damage.
