SVX is alive
Aaron's dead SVX is now mine and no longer dead. It runs so awesome the tranny is perfect the engine is even better. other than a major exhaust leak broken window switch and squeaky belts it's perfect. I went through Burger King drive through today and I hear this girl say something about my car I look back over and there is four employees drooling over my car. When I look at it I can't believe its mine.

I am glad you got it working well. I wish I had the time and energy to invest into that car, but my RS-T is my project for now.
Broken window switch and exhaust leak? Aaron |

And hey, if things work out, then we can race 2 SVX-T's against each other.

Why bother when you will both be looking at my tail lights.
The AZ smack talk is overtaking the other forums now. Aaron |

Kevin, get used to spending a lot of time staring at your car. I've had mine over a year now. I will still sit on the front porch and just stare . . . up and down. My daughter thinks I'm posessed by some "Christine -like" spirit or something . Congrats!

The exhaust leak is my fault we were pulling it into the garage and I forgot the exhaust mounts were no longer holding it up so it hit the concrete which broke the exhaust donut which seals the front and rear half of the exhaust. the driver window switch has to be wiggled back and fourth to get the window up.

Yes, that would be the switch. The driver's switch has an appendage that extends deep into a slot that activates the electronics. Normally you'd pull up (or push down) slightly on the switch to roll the window up or down. Pull (or push) til it clicks and you get the express feature. Sounds like you have the same problem I had: broken switch housing. If I'd caught it in the earlier stages (with only a crack), an epoxy job would've done the trick, but, when I took the switchbank apart, pieces of plastic fell out. I tried epoxying them back together with sad results. Oh well . . . it's only credit |
