Last weekend's antics...

I gotta upload footage from my first time on Beaverun's north track in an F2000 at some point. It was a frickin blast. After a good 45mins or so total on the track I got in my car to come home and couldn't drive it for **** lol

Shek would be upset though, I missed the race line a few times due to REALLY slow drivers in traffic

I know. frickin killing me..

They would use half throttle then brake WAY too hard and long setting up for the corner then coast thru it.. I was losing my mind...

Then one kid went over blind #7 and braked on the other side. I had to pass him or would have rammed his gearbox ( like your mom's ), then got a black flag for passing "not in the pass zone"

Instructor knew what happened and let me shoot out in front of them so I could really open it up. I was the fastest speed of the day but lacked in my lines because I would turn in a bit late. Instructor said that was due to driving it like a kart. But I got better on the last session til I was coming in a bit too fast to #4 and lifted mid turn.. did a little spin

hell no! not bad at all, as long as you get it all out. to make it look good though, you need some elbow grease. i ground and flap wheeled the SHIIIT out of mine. power tools. bring it, i'll show you which bosses you can't remove. there's two. 1.8" NPT tap the PCV holes, plug the one vac port on the face, longer TB bolts and a spacer, fuel rail adapters, throttle cable bracket and you're burning rubber.

the two bosses are those two on the top/back of #3 runner. if you're not using green brackets( i mouned my coils from those bosses) then you can lop off those bosses too for an even cleaner look.

Jim, you can look at mine tomorrow if you'd like so see exactly what Jason is talking about. It takes a while to get it right and I would have done event more finish work on the runners if I would have know the original powder coat I wanted wasn't going to be available to cover up some blemishes, etc but all in all the manifold fits and works well....so far. The good thing is you can see how a wiring harness on a wrx can snake underneath the manifold, etc.

This pic was a mockup of the manifold before everything else was put into place. Even now there are many things that I'd like to change (ps lines, etc) but just getting it running was a big step!

Bee you might be able to rent a setup. I have seen those portable units for truck frames and such. You gotta buy the sand.

Yep, ideally I need a small bit of welding and expanded metal cutting done. I could buy double the materials and make two. One for me and one for the welder guy. Ugly drum smoker makes the best stuff and is easiest to use.

Think I found a place in McMurray. It is a painting company . Turns out those food grade drums have an epoxy liner to keep the apple juice acid from eating the drum. I can burn it out but that takes time and you still have to run a sander through it.

Guess who is going to look at a bugeye today ? I have decided I can't stand not having a subaru. So Bugeye for now. Sti later.

Can't make the meet. Have to go for our marriage counsel with the minister that is marrying us thing . Church is in lawrence which is 2/3rds of the way there so I may be out late.

You could find a company that does sodablasting. Since it's just baking soda, they do it in an outdoor area.
