Exclamation stolen wheels

I wanted to give a heads-up and also see if anyone has seen anything shady going on around the area. I took a set of wheels to be powdercoated, and when they were at the sandblaster's shop, they and several other sets of wheels were stolen in a burglary. The sandblaster put an ksl ad up for a while offering a reward and saying that some scrappers had taken them, but the ad is gone now. Apparently stolen were some Porsche, Evo, and BMW wheels, as well as several other sets. It seems surprising to me that anyone would scrap so many higher end wheels, but I guess it is possible.

If anyone hears of someone shady trying to unload a bunch of misc wheels, please let me know. I have been keeping an eye out on ksl, craigslist, and ebay but haven't seen anything.

If it's a business you took it too, he should be responsible for getting you new wheels. If it was a side job, I'm betting he sold them.

Both are local businesses, and the powedercoater has said that he is replacing my wheels, so that is good. He has been very cool about the situation.

I heard about this, really crappy situation. Glad you'll have it all resolved soon.

I think the sandblaster should take some responsibility, but it sounds like he isn't.

Glad you liked them today Bill. =]
As your daughter said "SHINEY!!!" lol

PS - to the insurance statement above, my insurance wont cover it cause it was not an event that occurred on my property. But my insurance is going after the blasters insurance. Who OF COURSE arent overly helpful. So for now I will just be out of pocket. guess this is why I saved my money.
