Video/Soundclip/Pics: GP Moto equal length header w/ RS-R (RS*R) Turboback exhaust.
Did alot of soundclip searching before I purchased my GP Moto equal length header and only came up with one. So now that I've installed it along with an RS*R Downpipe and Catback I decided to get a little video..enjoy.
Guru P.S. This is WAY LOUD, anyway I like the way it sounds. Alot different sound than a stock Subbie setup but very sweet sounding. Kinda reminds me of a GT2 Porsche. That doesn't sound to bad at all, I like. I'm glad you got everything up and running, Jay.

It sounds nice, and I like the fact that it sounds different than most WRX/STi exhausts out there, but I still think I like the boxer note better.
That definately doesn't sound like a 4 cylinder Honda, though. |

I'm still a fan though... Nice being totally free-flow vs. the stocker manifold and I'd say you saved a few pounds with the GP Moto manifold/uppipe combo. I like what looks like thermal coating on the manifold/uppipe also -AL- |

it has polydyn's highest thermal coating, when i had them coated, the guy said that a science teacher tested the coating on 3 rocket engines he built. only one burned up and they were all getting around 3000 degrees. i'm glad that the header worked out for you Jay, and it doesn't sound bad at all, now let us hear with that silencer installed.

Not sure how I feel about it. I thiink I like the sound WOT for sure but not a huge fan of the idle sound. Don't dislike it, just don't instantly love it.
Did you have that turbo on before. Do you notice any difference in the powerband with the EQ len? I always imagined it would produce a broader power back just though efficiency even with out a twinscroll but not sure. |

Sounds like it's equal length... too high pitched for me. I only like the WOT sound.

Very interesting indeed. I love the boxer sound but am also always up for more power. What Id like to know is what the gains from this are like in comparison to the GTSpec gen2 un-equal length headers.

I agree, that exhaust sounds SIK at WOT!! I think I just changed my mind to get the RS-R over the Cobb TBE.
How much for the exhaust and where did you buy it from? I also see a silencer, was that included with the cat-back portion or did you buy that extra? Last edited by JAzad77; 08-02-2005 at 03:57 PM. |

As for purchase I looked everywhere hi and low. The cheapest place I found online had the exhaust going for $499 and like $350 for the SS downpipe. I have a connection in Cali though that had both shipped to my door for $680. Anyway don't want this thread locked due to the discussion so PM if u have further questions. Guru |

Great choice too. Ive always been a fan of RS-R personally, and for being JDM its highly affordable for the quality. Thanks for the sound clip!! Any thoughts of putting on the dyno for some comparisons?

Got me wanting the Fujitsobo EQ cross pipe headers again. Your Wot sound is amazing. Imagine 8500 rpm.
