I dont think the older WRXs have a damper, or at least ive never seen one or replaced one.

Im sorta stumped with the duty cycle thing, maybe some tuning gurus can chime in here.

Injector duty cycle alone isn't going to show you anything. Post a real datalog. I doubt it's the fuel damper. Check the TPS operation.

The MAF has the IAT sensor integrated into it. If you have just been cleaning the little amber bulb then you have been cleaning the IAT sensor.

Ill start figuring out how to post the log that i have. Its pretty short, just a 5th gear quick pull showing basic stuff. Also, i highly doubt the MAF sensor is the problem, i threw in a new one a while back in hopes that was the problem and it didnt help. How do i go about testing a TPS? I have TPS voltage and TPS Delta on my AP... but they stay constant when the problem is occuring, also checking the throttle position itself from the AP (in percentage form) seemed alright.

Do a 3rd gear pull from 2500rpm-redline. 5th gear is useless. The Service Manual will tell you exactly how to test the TPS. They sometimes develop "flat spots" in them.

this problem sucks, sometimes the problem will occur in 3rd gear, other times it wont. How do i post a log here? The search function is currently down here lol

Also for the P0456 check this:
http://drewstechnotes.blogspot.com/2...oblem-fix.html

It can cause both the P0457 and P0456

That is so strange that you mentioned that, i just noticed that the other day. It was a pain to fix but i got it on there. Didnt ever throw a code though, but resetting the ECU could help.

How do i add a data log? I have one ready but i just cant figure out how to post it
