Cool Legend of Speed II available for...evaluation...

EDIT: THIS FILE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD, YOU'LL NEED TO FIND IT ELSEWHERE.

For those of you who were asking about the Legend of Speed II VCD, I have it up for "evaluation" on my T1. Is it worth downloading? Yeah, in that "I'm bored and have nothing better to do than watch a B movie" sort of way. Is it worth owning? Errr, I'll let you make that decision for yourself. Legend of Speed I is only $9 from http://videocds.com/ so buy it if you like it. Dunno where to buy Legend of Speed II.

http://www.videocds.com/chinese/the_legend_of_speed.htm

Anyway, yeah, check it out. Two .MPG files totaling about 1.1GB (if you're on a modem, don't even bother). These can be watched on your PC or burned to VCD using Nero to watch on a DVD player.

ftp://ftp.trunkmonkey.com/pub/legend/

Teehee. Hey, look at you freaks! The blue line is you. This got posted at 10:30 AM. Wow. Of course, this is a realtime bar so, in a few days, you'll look at this and say, "yeah, so?"

Damn, and I killed it cause I was only pulling 10k/sec too. I'll have to try from home when I get my cable back up and going well.

Neat app with the graph, though.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a T1. This is my basement. I'm such a geek. Oh, and ignore my gimpy brother in law. These shots were for his computer class, but I suppose they'll do here.

Cool

Well, there are 25 of you trying to download it all at the same time. Uhm. Get one disc at a time. Downloading both at the same time will just slow you down. Hey, a T1 is only 1.544Mbps.

Are VCD's and DVD's the same thing?

VCD format is MPG1, DVD format is MPG2. MPG2 is much less compression (nicer picture) but takes up a LOT of space (18gig for a movie vs. 1.5gig).

Some DVD players will play VCD's as well.

And... I'm getting only 4.5k/sec here at home. *shrug*

Uhhhh... Somehow I doubt Xoom will allow you to upload 1.1gig to it. Plus Xoom is really f'n slow. I'd offer to host it here, but my max send is capped at 14k/sec.
