Any Large Differences Between 90 and 91 Legacy?
Well, as many of you know, I got into a minor accident last week which left major damage done to my 91 Legacy Turbo Sports Sedan The front passenger side was badly damage causing a $2,000 labor + $1,000 parts repair to it. I found a nice 90 Legacy L or LS ?? for only $600. MY question is, is there any major front body difference between my 91 Turbo and this 90 L? I'm planning on buying this cheap buy and have the body shop dudes take the "front clip" of the 90 L onto my 91 SS. Any help guys would be greatly appreciate before I go through the whole purchasing and what not. Thanks in advance.

Differences?
Ells, I don't believe there were any significant changes between 90-91 models. Here's spec from archive. Dimensions are identical for the two years. You're probably safe to use the 90 clip.
http://www.cars101.com/subaru_legacy...#1990%20legacy I was just looking over a used parts house inventory and front fenders, grill, bumper cover and radiator supports were all shown common 90-91 http://www.3wave.com/arp/SUB.HTM#287 Couldn't find much more on the older cars. Glenn O |

the fender panel is more or less the same, the turbo has some added parts to the radiator panel.

92 was when the major body panel changes went into effect, but 90 and 91 should be almost completely identical.

any difference between 90-91 and 92-94 spindle/hubs? I replaced my pass side front with a 91 on my 93, and I wonder if it is causing me problems now (weird vibration at 45+mph)

I wouldn't think so, i've got brand new WRX brakes on my 93 Turbo and they're marvelous, but sometimes the first model years are a bit squirelly.
I'd bet the problem could be related to that area, but probably not whether the parts should work or not. |
