strange buffeting/ish noise coming from passenger side while driving
when i'm driving, (i think only when the gas is applied) i started to notice a sort of buffeting noise and vibration from underneath../passenger side-ish area a few days ago. Today, the noise started to get more prominent, and now, when starting after a stop, there were prominent chirping sounds coming from the same side (sounded like belts or something). My engine is rebuilt, and my timing chain was done like 1k miles ago. I know my car also has a bad center diff/viscous coupling (slow parking lot speed thuds, etc), but I wasn't going to change that until it became undrivable practically. Is this sound something tied in with the center diff.. or what could it be? I really do not know how to describe the problem any better, other than it sounds like when an oscillating fan makes that weird noise, lol. If i remember correctly, i can feel the thing through the steering wheel as well
and the car has aftermarket adjustable coilovers, not sure which brand Also, the cv joints were replaced around 2 months ago. any input would be greatly appreciated! thanks Last edited by giosoccer20; 10-15-2012 at 06:42 PM. |
