Not sure what the difference is between the 08 and 09 but the legacy style trans (I believe but check me on that) is stronger than the old wrx trans. I am making 420 on an 09 . I think you'll be fine at those power levels. But I would not get a vf 52 if your going to spend decent money on a turbo anyhow you might as well get something you won't out grow.

08 has the same 05+ legacy tranny, which as you stated has been shown to be stronger then the 02-07 wrx 5-speed.

You certainly won't end up with too much HP with the TD04, however you will make quite a bit more TQ down low with that td04 then with the vf52, and that is also something to be somewhat careful about. Not that I think you risk breaking anything without abusing things.

No I can't say that I see very many WRB colored cars around my area in Asheville North Carolina! But not too far from Florida only about 6 to 10 hours depending on where you live if you're in the area hit me up!

Gotta talk with my fiance about making the trip, no exams this weekend which is good.
Do any of you guys know anyone up there selling a WRB STi wing?
Drove by a spark silver wrx with wingless trunk, looked pretty nice, but live the STi wings.

Im looking to get my 08 non premium bumpers up to date. Seems like a good route to go?
