Post Scoobysport exhaust fitment problems

Has anyone had the following problems with fitment of the Scoobysport turbo-back exhaust:

1. The original heatshield that bolts over the turbo/downpipe connection no longer fits because of the oversized mouth of downpipe is to wide for the opening on the shield. Has anyone modified the shield? Is it necessary to keep the shield in place?

2. My first section of muffler pipe rests on a metal housing that attaches to the left transverse link. If that wasn't bad enough, the pipe has only about 3 - 4mm clearance from the left halfshaft. I think if I trim the metal housing to clear the pipe it will then move closer or even touch the halfshaft. What to do?

3. The spring bolts don't seem to be able to firmly tighten down the joint between the front and rear center pipes giving me a slight exhaust leak. What fix have others used?

Thanks

What kind of info is in this mystery email? My SS seems ok right now, but I think I might have that leak from the spring bolts, so any insight would be nice...
