Question 01 Forester OEM CD player

I'm looking to buy a OEM CD player for my 01 Forester L. Anyone have one they upgraded or pulled.
Also posted in wanted forum.

Would like OEM one with any required wiring harness. I believe PNs H6240LS001 or H6240FS020 will work. Considered after market....but want the look/convieniece of OEM.

Thanks for any help/input.

Wink I'll see what I can do......

Are there differences from year to year?

If I can find mine (From a '98), I'll be happy to part with it.

I know it's not oem to a Forester, but a WRX radio/6cd changer will slip right in there. It will take you all of 20 minutes to install. I picked one up & it's great. I haven't looked today, but there are usually a couple for sale in the private classifieds.

I dropped a WRX head unit (same as the Forester S in my wife's old 01) in my RS and I just had to retain the mounting bracket from the RS. The WRX one is different. Everything else was just plug and play.
