Default SE WI!!! Miller Park Meet V2.0!!! OCT. 9TH @12PM!!!

MILLER PARK MEET AT FRIDAYS FRONT ROW SPORTS GRILL!!!

[IMG][/IMG]
Last year the meet went fairly well and we had about 25 cars show up!

MEET WILL BE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 9TH AT 12 PM!!!!,

We will start gathering and meeting around Noon (Badger game against Minnesota is at 11 am, so those who want to get there early and watch the game, I plan on being there!), and head into Friday's for lunch around 12:30PM, giving time to those to show up. I will try and get a rough count on how many will show up so Friday's can have some tables ready for us as I did last year. You do not have to eat if you don't want to, you can drink, eat, or just hang out!! Everyone I am pretty sure ate last year.

After lunch, there will be a cruise to Leduc's Frozen Custard:

240 West Summit Avenue
Wales, WI 53183-9426

About 20 miles from Miller Park, about 20 to 25 minutes at the most.

I figure we can head out from Miller Park for the cruise to Leduc's around 2 or 3 pm, we will play it out and see!

sweet. this was a blast last year. i thought the cruise through downtown went rather well, 25 subaru's mostly with loud performance exhausts echoing off the buildings? lol

Ya I thought it went ok too, we lost a few but otherwise nice and loud!

If you meet on September 18th you could catch the end of an autocross event.

A late afternoon\dusk meet could turn out pretty cool.

I vote for noon, but I'll try to make it if it is scheduled in the evening.

I also thought the cruise through downtown was cool, especially all the looks we got from the locals. The traffic lights didn't allow us to stay together too well.

Finishing at the lake north of the marina worked well.

yeah, I'd also agree with noon till whatever but I'm good with anything. For a cruise, I don't know maybe down highway hundred at night if it's on a saturday or a friday... but i don't know it's just an idea.

I liked BSTON's suggestion of September 18th following the AutoCross. It would make for some interesting conversation while we wait for people to arrive. There are angled parking spaces just East of the lots that would be close. If it's SCCA, they will not let you near the course area unless you are a member.

it's a WAI event that day Larry. If you want to do it after autocross you probably don't want to start until around 4 or 5 depending on the turnout

but they take the east lot for autocross events from what i remember. the west lot area, where friday's parking lot is, doesn't get used for autocrossing. at least the last i remember. sept. 18th may work, but like he said, not til later in the afternoon. thats why i was thinking a later in september date or a early october meet.

You are correct about the lots. I didn't mean to imply that we would watch it from the Friday's lot.

Either way, set the date and time and people will show up. You will not be able to satisfy everyone (noon, dusk, evening; saturday, sunday).

we could make it the 18th and I'll just skip autocross. Hanging out with you guys is less stress on my tires. I was thinking the following Saturday but the Brewers are at home and playing that night. May not effect us but better safe than sorry.

Okay if everybody wants to do it on a saturday then either we could do the 18th because the brewers are away or the 2nd of october. And I know some people are still gonna hit that auto x and feel like they can't miss that. Unless they'll just show up for the meet... and if it looks like we got nobody for the 18th then make it the 2nd.

basically take a poll here and so who can do it when...

ya we did it in october last year, i think october 2nd is a good idea, and that way we give enought time for people to look ahead in the calendar to make it. i don't think we need a vote, this would be about a months notice on the date, last year lots of people couldnt make it, but we had about 25+ show up!

is their a autocross on october 2nd?

if so we can make it later in the afternoon that day anyways.

They always leave the lot in front of Fridays open for customer parking because its open all year, so i wouldnt think tgey would use that portion of tge lot They always use that west lot by homeplate or the east lot for other events, like the huge car sale. Nice heads up though, will definitely have to call and make sure when it gets closer.

Oct 2nd might not work out so great, Fridays said that they may not have the whole lot available depending on that farm aid thing. So might be risky to choose that day.

So either the 25th the week before or the week after on the 9th. Probably be noon time for lunch.

it would be cooler if everyone waited for everyone else who had a different waiter for lunch, and then we leave together for the lake front or wherever.....just my thoughts
