Default New 2009 Impreza Outback Sport

Just bought a 2009 Impreza Outback Sport a week ago, and it's a real great car! Drove out to Mt.Rainier today and saw a bunch of Subarus and other cars, even Honda Civics, driving up the icy road to Paradise Lodge. It was 31 degrees and the car was sliding around the turns. Great drive.

My steering wheel is off-center. I had the dealer check the alignment and they said they made a small adjustment. The car tracks just fine, but the steering wheel is pointed slightly to the right when I'm going down a straight road. I checked the tire pressure the first morning I had the car, and found 35psi all around and lowered it to 32psi all around. Still not straight.

Interestingly enough the 09 Forester they gave me as a loaner while they were looking at it was just the same. Maybe it's a Subaru thing?

Glad you're enjoying your car! If the wheel thing is the only thing you're not liking about it right now, that's not a biggie! Hope you get it fixed and have fun with it.

Congrats on your purchase, but that steering wheel issue isn't a Subaru thing.

Well I'm going to take it back to the dealer this week, it has around 750 miles now so I hope they can get it right. If they say the wheel alignment is perfect, do I just ask them to remove the steering wheel and put it on so it's straight?

Dumb question, but are you sure it's not due to the curvature of the road?
