I was thinking you were down there. Admittedly, and oil change and what not is pretty minor stuff, but what sucks is taking your car somewhere for something super minor like that and it coming back with a ding or scratch, something snapped off/cracked, or 20 extra miles, etc etc. If anything goes wrong, its far easier to be frustrated at yourself.
Thats the justification for doing small stuff yourself, save the dealer/shop for something ya might not have the experience/tools to do, like a trans or motor job.
Plus with someone else working on your car, you never know what oil you'll be getting in it. Lots of dealers n shops just pump in cheapest-brand 5w30 from the 55gal drum in everything they work on. Regardless of what it calls for. I'm pickier than that.

Also, I am looking for a 2008+ CBR 1000RR or an 09+ R1 (Crossplane goodness) for the summer if anyone has any pals looking to get rid of theirs. I'm not super serious right now, but come spring I will be.
I have a buddy with a pretty nice R1 that I think he wants to sell... It's black. Low miles, ill find out what year it is though.

*edit-
Just looked back to some old texts... It's a 2007, maybe 2000 miles on it... Wants 7500 for it...

Hmmmm. Maybe ill buy it for myself. Lol

Hit up some of us for help. The car-working-on scene has been too dead lately. I'd be up for help if I'm not at work.

I think I've covered my opinion on brake options several times already in these threads, so I'll refrain from mentioning it again. Tho I do have a box of 2.5RS centric pads, NIB, that I acquired somewhere floating around my garage. If anyone knows anyone that can use them, free to good home, before I toss em (hate throwing away new stuff).

I'd drive a Scibaru. Still on my list in a few years when they drop in cost.
