Default planning on getting Apexi N1 muffler with Custom install - Help !!!!!

My question is, can I get an apex n1 turbo universal muffler with single tip, and do a custom job pipping to my WRX?
Also, what kind of pipping do you suggest for me not to lose low end torque as well as decent high end torque. should I go with a lot of curves or straighter pipping? I figured this will be cheaper for me to upgrade my exhaust rather than buying the whole exhaust system.
I am also thinking of putting the exhaust thru 2 catalytic converters instead of 3. You think it will be possible or not street legal?

If this doesnt sound good to you, any other idea on how to get a good exhaust that sounds nice, good performance, and "cost efficient"

thanks in advance

If you get mandrel bent piping (Which is really the only way to do it right) you can curve it as much as you want without any significant loss of power if any.

Even if it isnt mandrel bent you wont see much of a difference, as long as you get the diamater large enough. I have a crush bent 2.25" catback to my n1 muffler (90mm) and my friend with a supra twin turbo has a 3" catback to his n1 turbo muffler (120mm). (Both are crush bent). The less cats that you have on a turbo car the better...although its not always legal .

Just get the custom pipe made and attached to your stock downpipe. Then buy an aftermarket downpipe, and attach it to the custom catback and what not.

Does that help any?

Oh yea...since you have a wrx (its got the turbo) you should get rid of back pressure as much as you can. The free'r the flow the better...you will be able to boost higher, and spool up your turbo faster if you get like a 3" pipe and catless downpipe.

Cool thanks justin!
well I am still thinking to put the exhaust only under two catalytic converter. Since wrx has 3, you think leaving out 1 is legal?
lol I know its funny, but any thoughts on that?

thanks

Thanks that site is cool!!!
Also, how big is this n1 canister?
I have seen one that seems really big........... because it looks really funny hanging down from my wrx like a cannon that is about to shoot fire lol~

Nonetheless it sounds nice though.
thanks
