Anyone other than Dan and myself heading to SLC this weekend? I suppose we should start organizing hotel stuff.

You kiddies have a good time in SLC. Dont do anything too wild and crazy.

It looks like the bumpers will be here sometime this week. I will need to fix the front bumper and get them all painted. I am hoping to have the pieces ready to install by early next week.

Anyone that wants to come over tonight and help me remove the stock side skirts and front lip spoiler, feel free.

I will be home about 5:30 or 6:00PM. It should not take to long to do, so whenever. Part 3 of the GoodWood show is on tonight. Anyone can feel free to stop by anytime.

Jeff,
I'd be happy to help turn wrenches. I don't think I can stick around for Goodwood as I have to be somewhere at 8:30. I'll see you close to 6:00.

The only openings we have right now are in sales. This is mostly phone work with a very high level of presure and stress. I dont know if you are interested in anything like this.

Hey guys,

Sorry I couldn't stay last night.

More bad news. In my condition, I'm deciding not to go to SLC this weekend. It's a little too far away from my doctor and such to take the risk of something happening.

Oh well.

Anyway, for whoever is going down there, if Modern Garage has the replacement A-pillar gauge pods for the GC8 Impreza, I will gladly pay you pack for a double or triple pod.

Actually, even if they don't have the pillar replacements and just have the attachable pods, I still need one.

I'd prefer the triple pod, but I think only a double is available.

Thanks guys!

If all goes well, I should be back up and around and "supervising" by next week.

I'll be making the trek back to Idaho this weekend, visiting family. I *may* swing on down to SLC on Saturday, but that's a drive on top of a drive, and it is only a three day weekend...

Anything going on in Boise this weekend?

Let me know if you want to go Austin, looks like I'll be headed to SLC solo. Probably going to stay at my friends place in Ogden instead of a Hotel room. But if you are interested we could probably Iron-man a one day down and back.

Otherwise are any of the other Boise folk looking to head that way?

It does not look like there are going to be any subaru things going on. There is a festival in Kuna this weekend. I will be working there, selling some really good food. If you want to head over to Kuna, look for a stand called the Rio Grande.

Dan, hope you feel better.

I hope you guys are ready to do some actual wrench turning... not only do I have my new bodywork to install, but I finally got the WRX motor on its way here. I should see that in the not to distant future. This will be a lot of work, and I dont think I will start it until the Talon is out of the garage.

Just thought I would give you the chance to leave town now.

Default Dirty Talk

Jeff,
Sounds like you are talking dirty now. See that whole side skirt and bumpers thing didn't really turn me on, but a Jap WRX motor, now that TURNS ME ON! We can crank through the TSI to get a WRX in the making. I'll even bring my own tools. Sounds like good clean fun! Mmmmmmmm 280 HP!

Can we say 1.5 bar? Can we say stand alone engine management? Can we say shattered tranny? Think LM would warranty that?

I doubt LM could even get anything STI. They are supposed to, but I had to take them PN's for everything I have ever ordered there. Their parts guy is not the quickest in the world.

Wonder what new retails is on a STI 6 speed assembly.

has anyone ever rebuilt a tranny? It sounds down right nasty to me, but I would give it a try. I wonder if we could get my RS gears in the STI RA case. The RA just seems too short to drive on the road.

Manual transmissions aren't too bad to rebuild, I've done a couple of em not subarus but a few older muncie 4-speeds. Auto's are the tougher of the two I think, too much crap to worry about losing.
