Default I'm sure they meant well, then again maybe not.

So the company I work at takes pride in their diversity and all the things that go with it. They create posters to advertise this kind of stuff internally. I've been collecting some of these posters because although well intentioned some are just wrong. The first one I got was a Women's Day poster that featured a transvestite that looked like 'Weird Al' Yankovic in drag.

My latest aquisition (today) is for China business day that is coming up. I'm not going to post a pic because I don't want to advertise where I work, but here is the text:

<big red and gold dragon>

China Business Day

China is Ready for World.

Are you ready to China?

Not as good as the one where Indians are bashing China and Eastern Europeans but that one was only up for a couple of days before HR took it down.

Sounds like one of those unintentionally offensive or racist efforts straight outta Michael Scott's brain

Hey! I saw the same poster today too!

I didn't comment on it, but was thinking the same thing.

Hello, fellow employee.

Hello, fellow employee.
Is it unnerving knowing a fellow OTer works at your workplace, but you dont know who he/she is?

There are a few of us here.

Never met them in person. It's not just one big building or anything.

Is it unnerving that I met you long before I ever had a Subaru or knew about NASIOC, let alone teh OT?
