hey guys i went to the track couple for the first time the other day.
ran 4 times and improved every single time.
mods include: perrin downpipe, spt catback, k&n short ram intake, cobb ap stage 2.
on my last run here are my numbers
R/T ... .762
60'... 1.961
330 ... .000
1/8 ... 9.005
MPH ... 77.48
1000 ... .000
1/4 .... 14.024
MPH ... 96.53
my question is with this being my first time, could i probably get faster numbers or is this average for a wrx?

I ran 14.2 the other day with a 1.9 60' on a cobb stage II OTS map. A lot of people with stage 2 2.0 liters were running 14.0-14.4 that day.

Good deal for your first time out. Once you get the driving down, low-mid 13's are do-able.

You should be proud of your first run man. Most people get nervous and wind up running in the 17's (I should know heh). Practice makes perfect, you need to get those 60's down, and it'll run like a champ. Good luck.

I almost trap 96 in the 1/8th....

OP I know you can do faster - Your tune is probably not up to par (far from it)

I have seen guys run sub 9 1/8ths in a completely stock Bugeye...

I ran 8.49 @84 on my stage 2 map with a bit more boost...

I know its hard to do with the 5 speed... But be EASY on it while still being hard on it

Burn the piss out of your clutch

Use the absolutely "weakest" clutch you can for your power...

I always used OE with my 5 speed

Your right I did - Third gear though... It was a pure power pooch

Made it nearly 5k miles on E and 23-24 psi from an 18g.....
5k miles on E and Td04 (lots of torque)
10k miles on Stage 2 93 octane
25+ launches 10+ launches w/18g

And then third craps out on me..

See practice makes perfect... Just remember the more/harder you beat on your gears the bigger the chance of failure becomes...

Will you please quit talking about your car? I know it makes good power and you run good times, but it seems like you add something about it to each of your posts here

OP, your 60ft time leaves room for improvement, but it's not bad for someone new to drag racing at the track. With a 1.8 60ft, which is definitely possible with your setup, you'd cut roughly .3 off your E/T, dropping you to the upper 13s, which is respectable.

From there, I think some better shifting techniques and possibly different shift POINTS could get the trap speed up to where it should be, closer to 100.

Those 2 things together in a solid run should net a 13.5, even better with practice .
