Really? I've FF1000's and they would have a lot of space between them and the bumper at that position.

4.25" total depth, of that 2.38" behind the mount bolt on the Halogen lamped ones.

Hmmm. Shane, how much room is there between the mounting point and the bumper on your wagon bar at the inner two holes?

Is there a way to fix it so that it doesn't stick out so far, which would make it more sturdy and far enough away to fit the four 1000's?

No i mean, what are the differences between those and these: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/500.asp

Are they the same? I saw the ones at WalMart and they don't look entirely the same...

I understand what the FF is....

Walmart sells both a 500, and a 500FF.
Rallylights.com sells a ff500.

I went and took a look at the ones walmart sells, and the actual lamp doesn't look the same as the ones pictured on rallylights.com (for example, on RL theres a blue logo in the middle and the look of the glass is different). Are the RL ones just older, or are the WM ones a "WM" edition?

the ones on rallylights is a old picture when they used to put a small blue sticker in the middle. now they don't do that. the wallmart ones are the same as the others, as hella doesn't have a special set just for them.

I just picked up some of the 500FF's at WallieMart today. I got a night rallyX coming up this weekend, and I think I would be better off with the 500FF's in a driving pattern then the 500 amber fogs that I have. I am using these as my "cornering" lights. The FF1000's will take care of the straights!

Since you have FF1000s to compare to, let us know what you think of the FF500s.

hey guys, im seriously looking into a rally innovations bar for my 05 wagon. i need to know the best setup for fog, i plan on getting only 2 lights for now. i need fog lighting for driving in snowy mountains etc.. The look of yellow lights isnt really my favorite, but function over look is priority right?

what lights/colour/bulb? cant afford super pricey stuff either!

thanks guys!!!!!!

For straight up fogs, the best-cheap option would be the Hella 500 (500FF if the fog version is out yet) with amber bulbs. The best-expensive option would be the Hella Micro DE Fog or Hella 4000 Fog with amber bulbs.

I loved my Hella 500 amber fogs that i had on my last car. really cut through the fog and snow. and somewhat cheap too.

^^ I run 2-Hella FF500 Amber 2-Hella FF500 White and 2-Hella FF1000 White on the front along with the oem fogs. Look like a freight train.

4-500's on top of the wagon the 2 1000's on the front grill/bumper.
