Locals can get this cheaper if you pick it up, make an offer. I'm not selling this for less than $800 with free shipping, not financially feasible. You need this block and I need to get it out of my way. The units I sold on eBay sold for over $950 and the buyers paid shipping. This is a good deal being offered here since I'd like to avoid listing and auction fees on eBay. It'll cost you in the $1k range at the dealer. Again, this block is new.
Bump it up E |

this block is the older style ej20 correct. semi closed block compared to the new open block! and internally is it the same, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft! will bolt right up to the 02 heads? and do you really need to have a gasket kit! could you not just use the same gaskets and rings that are on the old block? minus headgaskets of course! does it come with headgaskets? thanks alot

No, this is not older style, this is basically a WRX short block with all the same internals... all your externals bolt up to it. Yes, the heads, too. As far as gasket kits go if you feel secure using the old gaskets from your engine go ahead, I don't know of anyone that would recommend it though. A complete engine gasket set is peace of mind especially if your building this up your self. Can you really say the old one's will hold up? You have a clean slate to start with might as well use new seals, whether you buy the kit from me or not. Piston rings are already on the pistons in a short block, it's assembled. I'm not selling an empty block with seperate crank, rods, and pistons. It's all inside and installed already, from the factory. This can be a replacement for a blown WRX engine which is the main reason the previous buyers bought theirs.
Still available. E |
