Question for those using the COBB AP Stage 2
My question is for those who are using or are familiar with the Cobb AP Stage 2 program for the STi. I am currently running the Stage 1 program on my 2005 STi and plan on uprgading to the the stage 2 next week . My question is how noticeable of a difference will it be over the Stage 1 program as far as the feel of power and acceleration? Thankyou everyone for taking the time to look at my post!

from what i've read... its a big difference. stg2 puts you over 300wtq and around 280whp which is insane for a 4 cylinder. if you didnt notice much of a difference going to stg1 (which most people dont) dont think stg2 wont impress you. im planning on going that rout soon too.

stg1 is a baby step compared to removing or replacing those stock cats and going stg2. Once you get those out of the way everything opens up A LOT more. I think you will be impressed by the power and spool of stg2.

it's not super super difference (at least for me who's power hungry), but the car feels so much smoother accelerating and w/ turbo kicking in. Also, gears 3 and up keeps pulling and pulling !

Overall power is increased dramatically throughout the rpm range. What I noticed most, was the decrease in spool up time.

I have a plain stock 06, but plan to upgrade anytime soon. I notice you said that your gas milage went up. What do mean by up? That you are gaining more miles per tank(saving gas)? Or that you are doing less miles per tank than before(burning more gas)? grover or anyone who can advise, thanks LJ |

When people say it went up, they usually mean, well, it went up. Meaning a larger number. Meaning more miles per gallon.
However, I wouldn't buy an AP expecting any significant savings. |

Stg2 feels real rough compared to a custom tune. That is what I would look into as soon as you're used to stg2.

Well nowadays, the way the gas costs are, if you can get extra performance from your car and at the same time saving more gas and/or getting more miles per tank, that a great plus. But anyways that’s just me…
Thanks for the input anyways. |

my mpg went up by about 3 or 4, so I figure the downpipe and AP will pay for themselves over time.
