Post Legacy Hyper Rev Vol. 1?

Just curious if anyone has the first volume Legacy issue of Hyper Rev they would be willing to sell, or know of a place that still has them. I have the second volume but it is 95 percent 2nd generation Legacy stuff.

I know where I could get you a copy... I only have Vol2 also. (of course I have a 2000GT, so it is all I need )

There is a Japanese bookstore here in Seattle that has a big stack of the Legacy volumes, I think they are ~$30. Let me know and I could run down and pick it up for ya.

I would be interested in the Vol.#1, let me know how you would like payment. Tell the book store you are buying for a guy 'out-of-state' so you shouldn't have to pay sales tax

Uh oh, I think I may be confused a bit Randy. The Volume 2 I was referring to was the one with Mel Gibson leaning against a white GT-B on the rear cover. I don't have it in front of me, but I know there was no 2000+ Legacys covered in it. There was one Legacy Hyper Rev before that one but I don't recall the actual Hyper Rev Volume number.

Sounds to me that there are actually three of them

Slide, Hyper Revs are only the best eye candy books in the world. They are model specific so you get pages upon pages upon pages of nothing but the car that intrests you. They show everything from stock pictures and specs, right up to all the tuners' cars and their aftermarket parts.

The only draw back is that they are 98 percent Japanese, but they are totally loaded with pictures. Trust me, you will look at it over and over again, even though you can't read anything

Have a Nice Day?

Ok... my big bad!

I tracked down this link: http://www.speedlab.com/company/hyperrev/hyperrev.html

I just called my wife and had her look at the volume number that I have. I have Volume 40 / Legacy #3.

So we have to re-organize here. I *don't* think Kinokuniya Bookstore has Legacy #1, but let me know what everyone wants anyway, and I'll get what they have.

From the cover on that page it seems that #2 covers BD/BG, and I know mine (#3) covers BE/BH.

Shik - ?
TRITuning - Legacy 2
SubieGal - Legacy 2, Legacy 3
Bobski - Legacy 3

Well, by the e-mail that I have been getting it seems people want these... so how about a "group buy" (no discounts tho! ).

I was there last weekend and (from memory) they had at least three copies of Vol1 and Vol2 each. I have not looked 100% through Vol1, but I know it covers a lot of the BD/BG series (not sure how much BC/BF series). Vol2 is about 40/60 split of BD/BG BE/BH.

Let me know who wants them, and I'll go buy the place out. They are about $30 each (again, not sure on exact price, but that is what I seem to remember) + shipping.

Orders will be filled in the order received!

So far I got:
Shik (vol 1)
TRITuning (vol 1)

Anybody else want me to pick them up one?

Randy, I know it's a long shot, but if you could check with the book store to see if they could possibly still get the very first Legacy number? If they can, I will surely take one. I'll have to pass on number 2 and 3 though. Thanks.

Good news, I think!

I just bought 5 copies of HyperRev: 1/#1 2/#2 2/#3.

So, Shik, you are in luck, I got you Volume 5, Legacy Touring Wagon. (I don't remember if you have the wagon or not, but that is all it covers).

Pete, did you want #1 or #2: #1 is generally BF Touring Wagons, #2 is generally BD/BE Legacys? If you want #1 we'll have to order it.

TRITuning: I got you a #2.

Bobski: I got you a #3.

Subie Gal: I got you a #3 for sure, and a #2 if Pete wants a #1.

So, I think everyone is happy here! Contact me via email: [email protected] and I'll get your shipping info (and tell ya how much you owe me! )

Oh, and like I mentioned, now that we have the ISBN numbers for the magazine, they can order as many as we want if anybody wants them in the future. (They'd probably ship too, if you were real nice to them!)

Catch ya guys soon!

check out a similar 'catalog' under the Gold CarTop/One&Only label which is about 45/55 first/second gen, I seem to remember it being a bunch thicker than Hyperrev.

Saw a copy in Los Angeles a month or two ago.

Whoops, forgot to mention these bookstores also have some awesome Japenese language videos. They had several Impreza video's, a B-4 against other Japanese sedans shootout video, and a general Legacy video.

Also if anyone is interested I have some 1/43 scale diecast models of Legacy GT-B Touring wagons I was able to acquire from Japan. This was a limited edition that sold out very quickly. They come in a very dark blue and white. I have a few squirreled away if anyone's interested. You can e-mail me for a photo. I should warn you these were $40 apiece plus $7 for shipping so by the time they got to you they be just over $50. Pricey but where you gonna find a Legacy?

I just got back from a trip to LA and was able to pick up the #1,#2,#3 volumes from the Kinokuniya bookstore downtown. Phone is (213) 687-4480. There are additional locations in Costa Mesa, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Portland. The LA store had additional copies of all the Legacy volumes. Also picked up a Legacy Touring Wagon & B4 sedan styling guide which shows the cars with various aftermarket accoutrments. I think I spent nearly $300 on mags and could easily have spent a grand. Any way if there is a Hyper Rev Volume #5 Touring Wagon guide I'd be interested in obtaining one. Are there any other Legacy books out there?
