It's hard to argue with this logic... there's no excuse to give up free liquor and comely young ladies for a bunch of old, fat, angry, drunken ****ers and paying for your own beer... :/

That would be ideal! But I don't think Chan is doing Taxi service. :/

Random - but just wanted to let everyone know. Everyone told me Where I live is where the crime is at.

Well, today at work my co-workers m3 got broken into. They took his Valentine radar detector. Went through the driver side window and ONLY took the Valentine.

I work in Memorial City on Town & Country way. This is a nice ritzy area. The car was parked on the 2nd floor, in a 4? 5? story garage that has 3 camera's.

I don't know... I am starting to think it doesn't matter where you live in TX. Just need to buy extra guns?

Did you mean to post this here?

This may be the most off topic thing I've ever seen.

Sorry about that Mod. I should have mentioned we were talking about robberies/thefts @ the meet.

I have a friend that lives in Rice Village area (nice ritzy area from what I was told) and he told me his car got broken into and they stole all his change (maybe like $3.00). His car was parked in front of 3 other cars in the drive way! maybe 10 feet from his house.
He lives with 4 other room mates...

This is so weird. When I lived in Jersey, people would break in for nice big things... bike, or guitar's, GPS systems (when they just came out), etc. etc. Aren't radar detectors cheap these days?

This is very unsettling. I need to move in a few months. Where to move to? *sigh

You guys have any problem accepting refugees from Louisiana? I'm here for work every now and then for a week at a time. Figured I could pop in to meet some fellow Subie owners and grab a beer/burger.

I would think it's implied in this thread.

No problems, you really can't differentiate us from the rest of the douchebags in any bar, although it's pretty damn rare for a woman to sit at our table.

Sucks about the break-ins. And yeah, I'd move if I were you... you live in prime 'Former JW2' territory over there off Gessner. Search 'JW2' here in TXIC... some good stories! Cliffs: JW2 is a crime-fightin' supah-boss who's had more run-ins with ne'er do-wells than anyone I've ever seen that wasn't a paid professional to deal with such nonsense.

My truck got broken into at BnB once shortly after the hurricane... stole a brand-new rechargeable impact wrench from me. I shouldn't have had it on the floorboard I guess, but damn that still sucked.

That's why I never park around back over there anymore. They've added a ****-ton of floodlights in the interim, but I don't trust it.
