Do you have a write up on the clock relocation?

Hey Ryan,
I didn't exactly do a write up because I didn't take a picture behind the dash when I initially took the clock out. I do have a shot of the clock where it sits now. The removal is tough if you try to remove the screws that hold the trim onto the dash but it can be much easier if you know that there are two tabs on the side of the clock that release it from the trim Once you get the clock removed from the dash, just extend the 7 wires about 18" down to the lower console and mount the clock to the bottom using double sided tape like the image below. If you need any specific questions answered, just let me know. Cheers! - Jason |

No problem man, this is the reason I did it!
I've enjoyed writing this thread just as much as I do driving the car. It's been a great 10,000 miles so far and looking forward to the next 10,000. Thanks for taking the time to hang out here! |

Haha, just moved from there to Maine a couple years ago. I had a performance shop in Mamaroneck that I closed down in 2008 and Moved to Maine.
I'll be back in about 4 years, I miss being around family and friends I grew up with. I'm in process of buying a house here to own some real estate and to rebuild over the next few years. Hopefully a future retirement home. |

Nice, I am actually in White Plains. My girlfriend actually has a place in Maine on Moody beach between Ogunquit and Wells.
What was the name of your shop? |

It's funny, my shop was next to AMR in Mamaroneck but I never got a chance to know them. They had Subaru's screaming on the Dyno everyday while I was trying to talk to customers. Moody Beach is nice, it's about 2hrs south from me and the only "real" beach around Maine... In Rockport we have severe rocky coastline. |

Wow your car is just awesome. Can i ask why you chose to do injectors even though your not tuned for E85? Future plans or...
Also I know its been asked but is the PW TMIC really worth the money. I'm looking to replace mine and I'm slowly getting closer to biting the bullet on that intercooler. Thanks |

Well if and when you decide to reopen a shop, let me know. Its nice to see someone who knows what they're doing and has such meticulous attention to detail.
I might have to drive up your way after my gf and I spend some time at her place in Maine. I'd love to see your car in person. |

Thank you for the kind words and stopping by! I went with the larger injectors for e85 and future plans but had a change in heart. I did hear that some stations in Maine we going to carry e85 in the spring of 2012 so I was going to run that for the daily commute. After finding out that it won't happen, I though I would use the extra fuel with a 2.5XTR Blouch Dominator build. After getting my Stage 2 Protuned I found that I was really happy with 300HP and the block, transmission and drivetrain would be happy as well for a long time. It's a Daily Driver car, not a weekend racer so I changed my outlook and decided to keep things the way they are and just have fun!! The Process West was a something I went back and forth with until I sold one of my cameras and had some extra money. It is expensive compared to other top mounts but everything about is worth it. The build, fit, customer service and cowl were spot on and the fact that you can fit the stock turbo and an STI style turbo is what sealed the deal. I didn't want another front mount on this car so I wanted to be able to add any turbo besides rotated without having to upgrade my intercooler again. Cheers! - Jason |
