i passed last year with no cat and no check engine light but just make sure ur exhaust isnt too loud

it also depends on the inspector cause some will examine the entire car

How could they not open the hood? I understand being lazy and doing a poor job looking for the cat underneath the car, but not opening the hood is massively lazy.

I am extremely sorry if i offended anybody with my previous remark about the "sketchy" gas station and inspection place, it was not my intent. Thank you.

Only time a station has ever looked at my car in length was when all i had was a catback and they jacked the car up about 4 times each side and destroyed the underside where the stock jack points are.......oh and then they told me they couldnt inspect my car

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Last inspection I had the kid doing it was more interested in telling me about his new supra project than inspecting the car. He was telling me how he was going to be catless when he had it built. And he checked nothing on mine- didn't even open the hood.

As long as you are tuned to not pop CEL's for no cat you should pass the computer part without a problem.

The visual inspection is station dependant. All stations are suppose to check the exhaust system visually, but not all stations do and if they do, not all of them care if your catless.

Good luck!

I just passed catless yesterday. Cobb catless downpipe into stock catback. Stinks like raw fuel. "Thankyou, come again" was all I heard. The accessport is great for clearing those cels. They even popped my hood but I still got a sticker

That's amazing, AFAIK they need to look under there for both inspection and emissions.
