Default SPT Exhaust 2012 WRX/STI fitment.

I have been looking into getting the SPT exhaust for my 2012 WRX Sedan. I have found a few used SPT exhausts for the STI online, and I have heard that there is no difference between the two. What I want to know is, is this true. Are the 2011+ WRX and STI versions of the SPT exhaust identical?

I think the 08+ still hatch will fit 2011 wrx. Don't hold me to it.

2008-2012 STI Hatch and 2011-2012 WRX Hatch are the same.
2011-2012 STI Sedan and 2011-2012 WRX Sedan are the same.

You cannot mix between the sedan and the hatch.

Thank you, that is what I was hoping to hear. I figured they were the same but I didn't want to assume...

I have it on mine and I am very happy with them. The only thing that I dont like is that the tips dont sit flush with the bumper. Its not really a problem but something I notice at times. Also the dealership has to install them so my pick up day was delayed a few days, though not a big deal since I could not pick it up till the end of the week.

According to the dealer the SPT cbe for wrx and wrx sti sedans '11+ have a different part number. Do u guys know what's the difference between the 2 if they are the same? I'm looking to buy one for my sti and a local is selling one for wrx and I want to make sure all is good.

A tune and gaskets (turbo to down pipe and downpipe to mid pipe.) some pb blaster or similar and the right size sockets and socket wrench a breaker bar may also be your friend. Also make sure the down pipe you are looking at will mate to the rest of your exhaust. Good luck!
