Default trailer modding

while I'm not racing a trailer (yet), I figured I'd post up about making my enclosed a bit more homey. Last weekend the deep freeze of the area subsided and I did a little trailer modding I installed a little E-track, for a tire/bed rack and my tool chest

I measured twice because I was shocked to see just how low my car was. But she fits under the racks with no problems at all. The racks up front are for my tool chest, that actually rolls in and out of the trailer with no problems. My goal is to be able to carry 2 sets of wheels/tires and have a place to sleep, with the car in the trailer.

Next on the list, is a breaker box... anyone know where i good 30-50amp RV breaker box can be found?

its a must, although I HATE DDing my truck. However, I can no longer live without a tow rig because that vette is NOT street legal.

Yeah sort of Luckily I should only have to go the second half of this season with my current truck/trailer and then I can upgrade for next year. I have too much stuff that I bring with me to the track and I want to start bringing more spares. I figure a trailer with a/c and a bed will pay for itself in the long run since I'll save so much in hotel costs.

I have a wife who demands the finer things in life, plus I wanted four doors so the car seat fit in it.

I'm also tired of buying vehicles and then growing out of them in 2 years. I don't think I'll grow out of this.

Oh, and for the breaker box, unless you want the trailer to work on both 12 volts and 115 I wouldn't bother with the RV box. Just go to home depot and get a breaker box designed to be an add on panel for a home.

Here's an old picture of mine. I've since changed the cord to a bigger gauge RV cord.

One other tip. I swapped out the 2x4's on my tire rack for square tubing with pins on the end. That way the tire rack is easy to take down when you're at the track. I got tired of having to duck everytime I walked from the back of the trailer to the tool boxes in the front. E-track is awesome though. I use it for the car tie downs as well since it's so hard to get under my car.

Jealous! I need an enclosed trailer, but don't see it in the budget, unless I find a spectacular deal. Plus I want to upgrade from the 3 for the DD.

I'd make you one hell of a deal on mine if you want. I'm not looking for something bigger, but I'd love one a little more "decked out" like dunks.

I was doing some pricing today, but the trailer market is rough at the moment.

I just picked up my 20ft pace enclosed trailer on Monday. I have all kinds of plans but no time/money to do them. I will post up some pics when I get some. This should make the journey and stay at the track a lot better.
