what unit is in there right now? you can program it 2 diffrent ways. First if you have the clifford 3.5:

1. Open the driver door.

2. turn the key to the on position.

3. Press and release the programing switch once, and press once more and hold it.

4. While holding the programing switch press the unlock button on the remote, the unit will chirp yo confirm programing.

5. Then release the programing switch and thats it!!!

Now if you are trying to teach this new remote to a diffrent unit that this remote did not come with follow all the same steps. You will have to push the programing switch 8 times and then once more and hold it. And it should work good. Well have fun.

What is the programming switch?

This remote, though exactly the same in outward appearances was made for a Viper set-up. The folks I got it from said it is the same as the other remote, I hope that is correct!
