Default JDM EJ207 longblock and USDM EJ205 longblock

well, i bought an 02 wrx that has what i believe is a V5/V6 ej207 installed. to work with the usdm wrx ecu, i would have to modify the jdm intake to accept the usdm TB and disable TGV's, or make an adapter to run the usdm intake manifold complete. you could also run ej205 heads and manifold (See below)

I was told it has 16k miles on it, and was imported from a rolled over car and then never used here in the US until now. as of now, it has a usdm crank gear installed, as well as usdm knock sensor, crank sensor, and cam sensor to get it to work with the ecu. I haven't gotten any further. I don't have time to fool with it, I need to get this car back on the road.

I also have an ej205 that came in the car originally. 178k miles. PO said that it made a ping/knock, got worse, then popped and shut off. timing belt was intact, idk if it dropped a valve or what, but you could use the heads on the ej207 and make it work that way in a wrx. engine is complete minus accessories and turbo/IC, etc. 1 head has cams removed (but included).

looking to trade both engines for a KNOWN running EJ205 in good shape. otherwise i'll sell the ej207 for $1000 and the EJ205 for $600.
