because at LS there is a db level restriction

obviously at tracks where they don't have to meet a certain db level they don't have a smoke stack on the car

They did that due to a 92 decibal noise restriction at one of the tracks they were running on. That is not their normal exhaust setup.

EDIT: ^^^^ Beat me to it by two minutes.

They're 265/35/18. Tire width all depends on the vehicle and setup, there's not one set size good for Time Attack racing.

I don't recall but I know it was more than just that. You can see smoke in the cabin.

Redline Time Attack has a tire width limit of 255 in their street tire awd class. It also has to be a 140-UTQG wear rated tire. Mod and unlimited dont have width rules but they do have UTQG limits.

My last visit to LS, the limit was 93, or at least that was what they had allowed us [riders] to get away with.

Yeah, they are very strict when it comes to noise generated by/from the track.

Thank you.

It was a close call....I have the entire sequence of the incident (20+ pics)...

This was @ Buttonwillow during the Subaru VS EVO shootout/ Super lap battle. The 510 went off track on a long right hander and and came back in on track at the exit section of the turn cutting off the suby. To avoid a collision both of them went off again....

BTW the 510 has 3 rotor turbo rotary engine and that thing backfired all the time!

Cheers

Rich
