PM me for my online portfolio (dont have ten posts yet) I also know quite a bit about saltwater aquariums, working on cars, selling cars, audio video (home and mobile) and pretty much anything else... even drywall! Any help is very much appreciated!

I really miss working on "special" cars. The current job doesn't really give me an outlet for a big chunk of my knowledge/skills. I don't even need the money. I would be willing to work in exchange for parts or dyno/shop time.
If anybody knows a tuning shop out there that needs somebody to deal with a few projects on nights and weekends send me a PM. Qualifications (that matter) * ASE master technician. * I have worked on everything from farm equipment to race cars * Good MIG/TIG welding skills (not Aluminum though, haven't had the time to learn) * AutoCAD knowledge * Good business knowledge (used to be a realtor) * Can tune any EM system out there WELL (if given a few hours to learn the interface) * Motivated and all around awesome (Mercedes of Beverly Hills doesn't hire you otherwise) If it has 4 wheels and lacks a carbeurator I can design/build/tune/fix it. |

My dealership (Mercedes of Beverly Hills) is hiring techs (if you're special enough).
Basically they don't openly advertise. We're sorta like the freemasons. You have to ask one of us to get in. We're really short handed right now and I'm exploring every possible avenue to try and get back to a sane workload. PM me if you think you have what it takes. Personally, at the very minimum I personally would like to see current ASE master technician status. Much general computer knowledge is pretty necessary as well. Mandatory: Squeaky clean driving/criminal record. Ability to pass random hair/blood/pee drug testing. Other than that I'm open to hear what people have to offer. Pros: As a mechanic you simply can't find a better resume line. Put in enough time and the pay becomes VERY good (6 figures if you're willing to work for it). You get bored with seeing celebrities. AWESOME benefits (after 90 days). We're usually the first dealership in the country to get the cool new toys from Mercedes. Some pretty awesome co-workers. Lots of other stuff. Cons: The starting pay SUCKS. This is really just to weed out those who aren't super dedicated. The hours can really suck sometimes. I've been ambushed 15 minutes before going home on a friday afternoon with a transmission replacement that had to be done that evening. Our customers suck and cause enough stress and general BS to make normal people get shipped off to the looney bin. All of the other Mercedes service departments in the area are completely incompetent and dishonest, this means you have to deal with some rather.... interesting cars that get sent over from time to time. If your flag sheet is your biggest priority in a day this might not be the shop for you. Once again: PM me if you think this might be right for you or somebody you know. PM's ONLY, you will probably be wasting your time to call the dealership directly. |

Sending a feeler out here.
Possibly looking for employment as a Web Developer/Programer. - 10 years of HTML - 7 years of PHP/ASP - 4 years of .Net (including alphas/betas) - much much more (CSS, Javascript, all kinds of DBs, etc) I currently work as a .Net/ASP.Net developer for a small startup, but things have gotten a little shaky in the last few weeks. It may all smooth out, but I dunno. I really want to stick with .Net, especially ASP.Net. If you know of anything, let me know. Like I said though, this is not a definite, but I want to make sure my bases are covered. Thanks, and have a GREAT weekend <subliminal>Suby Beach Bash</subliminal> |
