Default FS: New 2004 STi Gauge Cluster

This is a 2004 STi gauge cluster, including the plastic window and RPM buzzer adjustment knob (both of which are separate, additional parts). This cluster was purchased new from Subaru (note the Subaru box in the background of the pictures) and was only connected once to verify that it works. The mileage was set to match the miles on the WRX cluster it was meant to replace by a speedometer shop, but it was never installed.

Please note that if you’re going to buy a new gauge cluster, it is strongly recommended that you transfer your mileage to the new cluster. Either way, you will definitely want to see your dealer for a special sticker that notes the mileage of the old cluster and the mileage of the new cluster in order to keep the title and warranty legitimate still. I’ve got information for one speedometer shop that will change the miles on the cluster and ship it back to you right away, but many local speedometer shops should be able to do it just as easily.

I purchased a couple Subaru STi parts brand new for my WRX but never installed them. Ultimately I decided I'd be better off just saving my pennies for a WRX STi when it became practical to buy one. I had someone lined up to by the cluster but he never came through, and I let it slip my mind. The cluster has been sitting in a box in my closet for a while, and I decided it's time to either sell it or install it (after a second mileage transfer). So here it is for sale.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

No, the outside temperature sensor is not included. If I recall correctly, I believe that in order to get the outside air temperature sensor operational you need the temperature sensor itself as well as a common voltage regulator to power the sensor. It's been a while since I've looked into this, though, so someone may have found an easier way to connect the sensor.

Don-
It's pretty close to plug and play. Here's a guide that explains everything you need to know: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3309

Well, my latest potential buyer has disappeared (before paying me, of course). So the cluster is for sale again.
