Thanks.

I want to go 35% all around but I know I will be pushing my luck.

Does anyone here have 50/35 (legal limit), if so, how bad is the contrast change?

I had legal on my GSX, transition wasnt bad, but that was on a coupe so the transition was from the side window to the lil porthole window. I'm pretty sure my forester is close to legal, driver windows may be lighter than legal, it came with tint on it, but it seems close to my GSX aside from the cargo area windows which are completely blacked out.

Side note, anyone know if tint places have the light meters to measure tint %? I may just find a Trooper and ask him to measure it.

EDIT: I have black interior, skies were very cloudy.

Thanks for posting a picture.

That kind of looks like what I have now. I think I am either going to go 50% all the way around or 35% and chance getting pulled over. I am just too anal about things being symmetrical.

This is how it looks currently (tinted when purchased). The sides and rears are DARK. I've gone past cops and never get hit for them though.

I would take the chance and do 35% all the way around.

Worst case, you get pulled, pay the tint shop to fix your front windows and pay court cost of like $60.

Or just eat the tint ticket which is like $120, atleast it was when I got my last ticket (2006 ish)

I also have to get the tint fixed on my 06 wrx. I have 32 in the front and 18 in the back, had it tested twice now, with 2 tickets. It sucks cause i bought the car with the tint, and the First Team Toyota, where i bought it from, said its fine. Im thinking about contacting the dealer and having them fix it for free. Just dont have any documentation of them telling me its "OK", so im probably screwed, and the cop said if i get another ticket in Henrico, it will not be prepayable. :-(

Yep, that is who we used when I worked at Pence and we use them for some of our customer cars at work.

They should fix it. I know any of our used Toyota's or any vehicle for that matter that we sell, if there is tint on it that is questionable, we remove it.

Man. I am going to try to make it out there soon. It's hard for me. Once I'm off work @ 5 I have to head home. Being a full time single father of 2 kids doesn't leave me with a whole lot of time to escape ;P.

Once school starts up (3 weeks!) I will have the ability to get out one my evenings.

Yeah, so that's what it was. You had the time set for lime 2 seconds and I couldn't figure out what it was in time. Where was it at?
