There is a road construction area just behind the house I just rented, and I didn't see the "Road Closed" sign.....
I drove past, into a 100 foot quagmire, and the construction dudes were laughing at me, and I could hear them betting as to who was going to pull me out when I got stuck......
I motored through, turned around, motored back through, asked for directions, turned around and motored through again......
Looking for the house.....

These guys were standing there with their jaws hanging to the ground.

I love it...

Need skid plates, for sure.

Cool

Here's our OBS in action. The approach/departure angles are key.Outbacks don't have a good angle, but the OBS and Forester do.

more pics here

This was a jeep/4wheeler trail and was a lot worse than we thought. There was no place to turn around so we had to continue to the end. The car only scraped bottom once.

Default so what kind of environment is the wrx best for?

As someone said, it's not a rally car, only rally-inspired. I think it has good tolerance for low-grade rally environments (e.g. dirt roads, snow roads) but it's not suited for the environments the wrc car gets to go. I've also heard and read that it's not really a "track" car, per it's design, although it can be modified for track use (as Gary Sheehan's car). I'm just wondering what kind of environment is it really suited for then, that it can excel and be a leader in?

"Most Bang For The Buck" would be my opinion.
