Default HKS Hipermax 2 Coilovers : Initial Review

Well i just put on the hks hipermax 2 coilovers yesterday. I had perrin springs before on stock struts before and wasnt happy with the handling. I bought the coilovers used off a friend, they were 2 months old and so i just kept the same ride height he had and the isntall only took two hours (air tools used) My other suspension mods currently are whiteline rear sway set at 24mm w/ whiteline mounts, cusco front 22mm sway, cusco front and rear strut bars, and falken azenis. The first drive was amazing, i have the dampening at 16 clicks from full soft (30 way adjustable) and there is alot less body roll than the springs i had before. Also the ride quality is amazing compared to the perrin springs that are designed to give "comfort" while lowering the car. I still need to get an allignemnt since you can visually see alot of - camber in the front but so far im a VERY happy with these coilovers. I might go back to the stock front sway and 22mm rear sway and see how it is. If you read my previous posts, i wasnt very happy with the addition of the front sway.

Also could anyone comment on these allignment specs. The friend i got the coilovers from is the main mech. at carlsen subaru and said that he was gonna use these settings. front camber -2 rear -1.6 front toe -in .02 rear toe-in .07. He said its good for daily driving. I do all my driving on the streets and mountain drivign almost every weekend.

Default I'm looking at

the same shocks, just haven't decided they're worth the $$ to replace my Tein Flex. I don't run any toe front and rear, and last alignment I was at -2.5+ front, -2+ rear. Aggressive.

I don't see a reason to run toe-in on our cars. For just street driving, I would use zero toe all the way. The camber values look like a good starting point.

I have found, after several different alignments, that I prefer a bit of toe out in the rearm and '0' in front.
