I keep going back to the beginning of the thread and looking for a reason it exists.
As someone who has been married for a long time, it's pretty entertaining reading. Keep it coming

looking at this thread it seems alot of subie drivers have GF's ... yes quite depressing the only comfort i got is that when i drive or mod there is no one to nag about various ****

Only experience with girls in my sti is like ... "Hihi it makes my belly tickle when you drive fast" or worse "It's like i'm in Fast and the Furious" last one was like "Wow it's really fast ... if i had a car like this i would speed all the time"

Oh well more money for mods

I was taking a few friends of mine in a ride in my wrx (No-name catback from PO) and a back seater asked me where my engine was located. I told her i was towing it.

And that happens despite their broad, sweeping generalizations like "girlfriends just don't understand." I'm someone's girlfriend. I'm pretty sure I understand...

I'm a girl and it's funny because my boyfriend and I are in this position. Did I mention I'm the one with the passion and he's the one that's all sorts of confused? So I can relate to you and your SO

She must be getting the WRX confused with the Mustang.

All you guys with great girlfriends, just wait. If you are lucky enough to marry her, she will get you back. The time and money you spend on your car will be nothing compared to the time and money she spends on shoes and clothes. And if you are blessed with two daughters like me, just wait.

This thread makes me

Part of the reason my last boyfriend and I didn't work out was because I was so into Subarus and he wasn't. He wanted something more serious and to settle down and all that stuff and I just wanted to build my WRX. Oh..and he didn't like that I wasn't religious.

He went and bought a big obnoxious Dodge truck...and then a week later we broke up.

So I'm here to say...

Boyfriends don't understand either.

Wayyyyy too often. More than I probably should. Maybe I just need to sell the scoobies and like...learn to cook or something. But I like beating the boys at autocross too much ;-)

Yep..done and done. The WRX is nearly finished...still has new motor gremlins I need to work out but other than that it's been okay.

Funny thing is that he still texts me on occasion and said he does miss driving a Subaru (He was the only guy I let drive my WRX other than my friend Dale and we actually owned a dedicated rally 2.5RS together that I kept after we broke up) and wants to get one and build it once he finishes training and goes on salary.
